The Road Police and ASTM-SIAS Motorway Operators ensure non-stop road assistance services. Our mission is to help you and keep you safe. We're not superheroes, though - we're simply equipped with luminous signs, flashlights, fixed signs, flags and, last but not least, the skills to manage traffic as it should. Stationing in the middle of the carriageway is extremely dangerous. Call us immediately.
The sooner you call us, the faster the rescuer will come to you, which means a lower risk for yourself and for the other users.
When? In any dangerous situation and whenever you stop on the carriageway and your vehicle can't go on.
What? According to the situations, consider getting out of your car, help the other passengers to do the same, and make use of the emergency shoulders to run away. A car stationing in the middle of the lane is a danger even for its passengers. Before getting out of the vehicle, wear your reflective jacket and ask your passengers to do the same. Use the emergency call boxes to ask for the help of the Motorway Operator or Road Police. Keep a copy of "In Autostrada" - the Aiscat magazine where you can find all essential telephone numbers for travelers - in your car, or just look for the information you need on www.aiscat.it (Aiscat website) or www.autostradafacendo.it (ASTM-SIAS Group).
